I caught the sky, suddenly fiery and magnificent

Within three minutes it had faded, and only a faint lavender and pink remained.

This afternoon we lost our telephone service to a lightening strike for the second time in a month.

Here are the noisy, grumbling clouds that accompanied the spectacular lightening!!

There were a number of strikes in the hills that caused small fires, but luckily

the rain came down in great cascading sheets

and all seems well now, 

except we have no landline!
