This morning's skies

A crow's nest hidden in the top of the neighbour's biggest tree

Tell me, do you see any precipitous pussy willows here?

Shadows on the woodshed roof

Snow skies here in the Similkameen, - a pewter grey, same shade over all.  No shadows or shafts of light, just grey, grey, grey.

So here are some summery sky to lift the spirits.....

Despite the lack of beautiful skies we are enjoying the snowy weather.

Skywatch Friday

Similkameen Skies
January 12th, 2012

As we speak the skies here in the Similkameen are dull, dismal and dreary, but yesterday we caught a little

bit of sun and some beautiful blue skies which produced this sunset in the late afternoon.

The moon sailed high in the sky all night long

and in the morning there were bits of blue sky and this lovely gentle sunrise.

(complete with wires and poles and transformers)

I would be happy if these pewter skies that have rolled in now

were a portend of white flakes, but I fear

they only speak of low temperatures and chilly weather.
